ALBUM REVIEW | DAYTIME TV | NOTHINGS ON BUT EVERYONE’S WATCHING

I don’t know about you but lately something’s been missing from my mix of albums. Something rock but not to rock with a pinch of pop and boy band heartbreak, you get what I’m saying. If that’s what you are also missing..keep reading!

Daytime TV is the hottest alt-indie band from Edinburgh and London. With their cool boy sound and those electric guitar riffs, the fangirling is real. Taking over the Scottish music scene since 2020 with sensual single ‘Side Effects’, the band showed their God-given talent well and truly.

With a collection of successful singles, including the latest ‘Side by Side’, Daytime TV is taking charge of our alt-rock playlists with their debut album ‘Nothings On But Everyone’s Watching’. Telling the weird, rather addictive relationship we have with technology and the crucial part it plays in our human interactions.

Featuring heavy rock-influenced tunes to heartfelt, time capsule pieces, the album was made for the collective. Produced and mastered by legends of the industry, Romesh Dodangoda and Robin Schmidt so really I don’t even have to convince you to love it..you just will. Giving spotlight to the juxtaposition that is ‘Little Victories’, Daytime TV wears their hearts on their sleeves.

“…The ‘little victories’ are the small things you can take away and keep for yourself when everything seems to be crumbling to the ground at your feet.” Will Irvine.

Riding high off of supporting Scottish Rock Icons, Twin Atlantic, the 4 piece is ready to be headliners. Having their own tour for 2022 and tickets being on sale now..run, don’t walk.
