Fright Years have released their 2nd single from their forthcoming EP due for release in February 2027, creating quite the run of soaring tracks with Never Been Wrong earlier in the year and now Dye Star. Produced by Pete Hutchings (Royal Blood, Gang of Youths, The Amazons), Fright Years take a sonic leap in to the world of strings, adding layers to their already well-established dream-pop sound.
With themes of discovery and the search for true happiness, the track explores the journey of finding out who you are as well as the person you’ve been along the way. The use of the smooth strings, synths and vocals combined with the power of the guitars and drums stuns in this new euphoric track, showing that Fright Years continue to be ones to watch.
Newly released on September 18th, you can listen to Dye Star below.
Scottish fans can also catch Fright Years live in November, playing Inverness and Aberdeen as well as an already sold out show at King Tut’s in Glasgow.
