SINGLE REVIEW | KARDO | BEST OF LUCK IN SPACE

It’s time for something a little different from the guys over at Kardo. Released on 21st January ‘Best of Luck in Space’ will send you into a blinding orbit of soothing musical escapism. If there ever was a place to get lost, it’s on this spaceship with Kardo. If you haven’t yet heard of these guys, first off, where have you been? Secondly, you’ll want them in your life. They are a young outfit from Glasgow, who have featured on big name stages such as King Tut’s. They released their EP ‘Honey’ last year and have been going from strength to strength in the last year or so.

This new single takes a slight turn, moving to something more mellow and introspective. But it is still as equally flawless as everything that has gone before. It’ll take you on an atmospheric trip of bone chilling harmonies and scintillating instrumentation that gives that vibe of 60s rock meets new indie. It’s a carefully constructed track, the attention to detail is impeccable. Every bridge and interlude have been considered and come with a purpose. It bends in unexpected ways from one key to the next, forever holding your attention without leaving you lost in the ether. The single shines through the darkness of these winter nights like a guiding promise of good things to come from Kardo in the coming months.
