When did you join DM and what is your role?
I joined DM in November 2022, so 6 months now! I joined as a writer.
What do you enjoy most about your role at DM?
I love music, so being able to discover new music but also being able to write about something I’m so passionate about. I truly believe music has the power to connect and bring so many people together from all walks of life, and writing about that increases my passion for life itself!
What experience has been the highlight of being part of DM?
I think the main one is being able to go and see live gigs – there is just something that touches my soul when I hear music live. I’m looking forward to the future opportunities, in particular interviewing bands. Another highlight is getting to know the rest of the DM team who are all absolutely amazing!
What do you do outside DM?
I work for a youth homeless charity supporting 16-25 year olds with difficult complex needs and support them if they are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.
Favourite Scottish band?
Hmm.. Love Daytime TV (they are half scottish) ha! and of course Biffy Clyro!!
Best venue in Scotland?
Barrowlands or King Tuts. More Barrowlands as it just feels so iconic!
New upcoming band we must check out?
North Atlas – looking forward to seeing them at Takeover at Download Festival!
