PREVIEW | GLASGOW SUMMER SESSIONS 2026

Festival season is upon us and what a way to start it off with a run of Summer Sessions at Bellahouston Park in Glasgow. Running between Saturday 27th June and Saturday 4th July, there is something for everyone whether you’re into vibing out to americana or joining the black parade or partying with Mr Worldwide.

Glasgow Summer Sessions kicks off on Saturday June 27th with State Fayre Presents, a folk-rock one day festival headlined by The Lumineers. The Lumineers have been visiting the city since their first appearance at O2 Academy all the way back in 2012, supporting Mumford & Sons so it’s amazing to have seen them rise through the venues and gain popularity over the years. Also playing that day are Irish rockers The Saw Doctors, and waving the flag for Scotland are crowd favourites The Proclaimers and KT Tunstall. There’s also a chance to catch other acts from across the Atlantic in the form of Dylan Gossett, Avery Anna and Buffalo Traffic Jam.

After a sell out Hydro show in 2025, American superstar Teddy Swims is returning to the city on Sunday 28th June. His new single ‘Mr. Know It All’, has us hoping we’ll get to hear more new material on his upcoming visit. Teddy will be joined with other international acts, Lauren Spencer Smith and Jordan Rakei.

Another return from a successful Hydro show in 2025, is Alanis Morissette. The Canadian powerhouse wowed us with her performance, so Tuesday 30th June is also not to be missed. Sticking with the theme of powerful women in music, she will be joined by Wet Leg and Skunk Anansie.

Mr 305 is back at it again, starting July off with a bang. Expect a wide array of party anthems performed to a sea of bald caps and suits. Already a sell out show, those lucky enough to have a ticket will no doubt have the time of their lives seeing Pitbull with support act Lil’ Jon

No stranger to a Glasgow Summer Sessions show, Kings Of Leon return to headline for a third time on Friday 3rd July. They’ve been regular visitors to the city for over 20 years now and after dropping a self-produced EP at the end of last year, it will be interesting to see what direction they’ll take with their set. Will there be more new music on the way? Showing them how we do things here in the UK will be opening acts The Lathums and The Royston Club

Finally one of the coolest events of this lineup is My Chemical Romance’s 20 year anniversary show for their Black Parade album. Fans of this popular emo movement in the 2000s were quick to snap up tickets for the event on Saturday 4th July making this another sell out in this series of Summer Session shows. And if you thought an MCR show in Scotland wasn’t exciting enough already, they’ve only gone and got Scottish rock legends Idlewild opening.
