Kate Stables’ alias and band ‘This Is The Kit’ are gearing up for a low key, relaxed Glasgow show with support from Dominie Hooper at Tramway on the 27th of January 2024.
The Paris based, Bristol born group spearheaded by the lead singer and principal songwriter Kate Stables started playing together as early as 2002 and are still going strong to this day. What some have described as alternative rock, I think Kate seems to draw more from folk influences, but is not afraid to straddle the line between alternative and folk rock.
Now touring their 7th full length album, This Is The Kit boast their most complete and true sounding album to date, with Kate’s pained yet optimistic lyrics really cutting deeper than ever on this project.
This Is The Kit are most definitely not afraid of the stage, having been on the road for just over a decade, we can expect to see a well oiled, confident outfit hit the stage. The touring group of Kate, Rozi Plain, Neil Smith and Jamie Whitby-Coles can most definitely expect a warm welcome from the Glasgow crowd.
With all this in mind, we should all look forward to a well curated show with some great musicianship and some immaculate vibes radiating from both the crowd and the band.
