GIG PREVIEW | BEABADOOBEE @ O2 ACADEMY

Beabadoobee – the singer with one of the most unconventional names in music – kicks off her tour, celebrating her latest album, This Is How Tomorrow Moves, at Glasgow’s iconic O2 Academy, on the 11th of November.

The Filipino-British singer-songwriter gained attention with her viral-hit, Coffee, through TikTok, and her career has skyrocketed ever since. In 2020, she was nominated for the BRITs Rising Star, and only last year opened for Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour

She now prepares for her own headline tour, and we could not be more excited that the first date is in Scotland! Brace yourself for huge cheering and applause; a magnificent show that will be remembered for a long time to come.

The last time Beabadoobee performed in Scotland was back in 2022 at TRNSMT, so fans have been so patiently waiting for her return.

Her latest album carries her signature indie style, so her debut Beatopia and her various EPs will fit perfectly in the setlist, meaning that if you’re a casual listener, and haven’t checked out Bea’s latest offering yet – you will certainly not feel left out.

The lyrics of this new album feel very much in hindsight – as if she’s looking back, as a more mature version of herself, telling us how she feels; what she wishes she would have done, definitely describing a coming-of-age.

The production on the album by the way – is top notch. No wonder, considering it was produced by the legendary Rick Ruben, best known for working with the Red Hot Chilli Peppers and AC/DC – so we can only assume the tour will be of exceptional quality too!

This Is How Tomorrow Moves (the tour) kicks off on the 11th of November, at the O2 Academy in Glasgow.
