Festival Preview | 2000 Trees

Tucked away in the stunning Cheltenham over the weekend of the 9th-12th July 2025, 2000trees is the UK festival scene’s not-so-hidden gem. It’s small enough to feel personal, but mighty in atmosphere, community, and—most of all—music. With a site layout so slick it feels like it was designed by teleportation engineers, you’re never more than a couple of minutes from your next favourite band, a banging vegan burrito, or a cold pint of local ale.

There’s no sprawling trek between campsite and arena here because there is no separation. This is a unified, buzzing space where music bleeds into every corner and your crate of tinnies can come along for the ride. Yes, you can bring your own beers and drink them while watching bands—though: Heroes buy Beeros. Support the festival by grabbing a pint or two from the bars—they’ve earned it.

But what truly makes 2000trees special is the people. This isn’t a place for casual festival dabblers (although this is welcomed)!  The crowd here are sheer music lovers—borderline obsessed, in the best way. And yet, there’s zero ego. Everyone’s open, friendly, and up for a chat. It’s like the world’s best house party, soundtracked by a lineup that feels hand-picked by your coolest mate who actually knows what they’re talking about.

Speaking of the lineup—this is where 2000trees flexes. Curated by life-long fans who clearly live and breathe music, the bill blends post-hardcore pioneers, grunge revivalists, alt-rock heroes, and everything in between. Every genre’s got a seat at the table!

The festival has pulled out all the stops with five massive headliners: Kneecap, Pvris, Taking Back Sunday, Coheed and Cambria, and Alexisonfire. It’s a mix of genre-defining icons and boundary-pushing new energy—and that’s just the top line.

But the brilliance doesn’t stop there. Discovery Music Scotland is especially buzzing to see some top-tier Scottish talent in the mix, with VUKOVI and Twin Atlantic flying the flag and promising unmissable sets.

There’s also a seriously strong showing from female-fronted bands and solo artists this year, including the electrifying Lake Malice, the ever-rising As December Falls, and alt-pop sensation RØRY.

Add in Norwegian punk rockers Blood Command, the gritty anthems of Kid Kapichi, the fiery energy of Hot Milk, emo legends The Dangerous Summer, and a stack of others we’re counting down the days to see.

And then there’s the iconic silent disco. Forget everything you think you know. This isn’t just a late-night sideshow tucked in a sad little tent. At 2000trees, the silent disco takes over the entire site. Multiple channels. Stages. DJs. Bands doing live silent sets (yes, really—actual bands playing through headphones after hours). You’re dancing under the stars, surrounded by strangers who feel like old friends, and you’re all jamming and dancing to different beats in perfect harmony. It’s magic—and frankly, no other UK festival is doing it like this.

Top it all off with food traders that are passionate about serving you with the best of foods, and you’ve got a weekend that feels less like a festival and more like a community.

2000trees is absolutely smashing it and it’s shaping up to be an unforgettable weekend that we cannot wait to see you there!
