SINGLE REVIEW | LOVE BITES FADE | ADULT DOLLS

Processed with VSCO with 6 preset

Known for their vibrant and punchy presence at live gigs, Adult Dolls new single “Love Bites Fade” catches their genius musical skill and their chemistry as a band. The upcoming 4 piece from Glasgow have managed to capture the essence of classic 90’s rock with their own twist; using multiple synths, electronic drumbeats, and an ear-catching guitar sound. Following multiple teaser promotions and a “Meet the Band” series to promote the single, the band have really outdone themselves in getting fans excited for this release. The boys each bring their own musical tastes and influences for this single, taking inspiration from the likes of Dua Lipa and Nothing But Thieves for the synths and production, among others.

From the vocals to the bassline each instrument compliments one another to create the Adult Dolls unique rock sound. Powerful and yearning vocals from Chris Double bring the true sound of the adult dolls together. With a clean and sweet guitar solo from James Allen before the final chorus, with contrasting memorable melodies that fly around the fretboard, it truly is a powerful and rich anthem.

The single as a whole is a real platform setter for the Adult Dolls, and they have very exciting things coming their way. A hard one to follow for sure, I can definitely see a promising path unfolding for them as a band.
