When did you join DM and what is your role?
I’m Morgan, I joined DM in December last year as a writer. I’m now part of the admin/manager side as well as still writing.
What do you enjoy most about your role at DM?
I love gigs and listening to music. Being able to listen to music in advance and being able to attend gigs more often are probably my favourite parts about my role at DM.
What experience has been the highlight of being part of DM?
The highlight of being part of DM for me is being able to meet the bands I’ve reviewed in person at another event. I love hearing what they thought of the review and seeing how happy they are with the words I’ve wrote.
What do you do outside DM?
I’m finishing up a law qualification at college. Then, I’m heading to university to complete a degree in Journalism and Politics where I can hopefully add to my time at DM so far.
Favourite Scottish band?
I love so many Scottish bands. Currently, my favourite Scottish band is tied between Royal Blood and Retro Video Club.
Best venue in Scotland?
100% has to be Barrowlands. I’ve said it for years and my answer has never changed. My second would definitely be the iconic King Tut’s.
New upcoming band we must check out?
Attic Days, Figurines, Canongate, Dazed & Confused and High Fade. They’re all from Edinburgh and are the loveliest people too.
Currently listening to?
Literally everything. Right this minute though, I’m listening to Bruce Springsteen, love the boss!
