To celebrate the launch of their second album, Sitting Pretty, The Academic begin their UK and European tour in Glasgow’s Barrowland Ballroom.
The band from Mullingar, Ireland, begin their Sitting Pretty Tour in Glasgow. The iconic Barrowland Ballroom will host the quartet along with support from Easy Days and The Notions on February 10th.
The Academic’s first album, Tales from the Backseat, saw them touring the UK in 2022, playing in Edinburgh and Glasgow. They played a lively set of fan-favourites from the 2018 album like Bear Claws and Why Can’t We Be Friends. As for their newest album, they will play a list of new songs including Pushing Up Daisies, and newest release My Very Best. This time, they kick things off in Scotland’s biggest city in a venue holding just under 2000 people. With support from two local bands, this is a lineup that shouldn’t be missed.
Easy Days are an indie band with 80s influences from Glasgow, this will be a hometown gig for them. They have been featured on Spotify playlist “Hot New Bands” and have had one of their tracks, The Middle, played on E4’s Made in Chelsea. The Notions are also local indie talents from Scotland, specifically East Ayrshire, anticipated to play their latest release, Better Than You.
