SINGLE REVIEW | USUAL AFFAIRS | TEMPTING DISASTER

Usual Affairs are back with an exciting new single.

Tempting Disaster is the Edinburgh hailing quartet’s second release following on from their February offering “She Knows”. The indie-rock fourpiece are holding nothing back with the noisy new track- no half measures!

Sonically the track packs a punch; starting out with a catchy guitar riff and rattling percussion before the drums and second guitar really kick things into action. It has a raw and anthemic sound that’s sure to get your head nodding along and put a smile on your face.

Frontman Scott’s distinctive voice and lyrical storytelling are real highlights of the track, he sings enticing lyrics about a girl catching his eye on a Saturday night out on the town.

“So take me your hotel room / ‘cause I wanna get to know you / I want to see what you’ve got planned for me / ‘cause I think it might be good”

In all, Tempting Disaster is a strong second single from an exciting new band that are showing plenty of promise and potential. We will be keeping an eye on Usual Affairs to see what they do next – you should too! Listen to the new single here.
