St Dukes are due to release Do Your Worst which is going to be the first new music from the band since their SAY Award nominated debut album in 2022.

Do Your Worst is a perfect blend of indie rock and garage rock. The intro and verses are grungy and full of attitude which flows seamlessly into the poppy jangly dreamy fuzz-pop chorus.

There are plenty of different elements within the lyrics, building with the pre-chorus.

“My minds just doing its worst, my minds just doing its worst”

Really playing into the theme of the song which is about noticing people you care about getting through difficult times and recognising how they feel. It’s about understanding how your own headspace can sometimes sabotage aspects of your life.

The chorus remains moody and dark however the music becomes uplifting and the harmonies between the two vocal styles are really divine and accompanied by the dreamy guitars really make for a good listen.

Do Your Worst will be released on the 26th of April 2024.
