SINGLE REVIEW | RIANNE DOWNEY | DO OR DIE

A lovely new release from Glasgow’s rising star.

Rianne Downey is the Glasgow hailing 21-year-old who has been making waves since coming onto the scene a year ago. Since going viral on twitter with her lockdown covers, Rianne has made her dreams come to life; she has released two stunning singles, performed the Scottish national anthem for the European Football Championships earlier this month, and sold out her upcoming hometown show at King Tuts.

The social media star has made a glorious return this week with her brand-new track titled Do or Die. Taking inspiration from her idol Dolly Parton, the track features soft simple guitar teamed with Rianne’s beautiful classic voice. Whilst sonically soft her lyrics are fierce; she has an inspirational ‘do or die’ attitude that is taking her places.

Rianne commented:“Why wait for tomorrow? There’s been times when I have really wanted to do this, but not wanted to fail. At the end of the day, there’s no option but to. ‘Do Or Die’ is about getting to the point of trying. Now is always the right time.”

Click here to listen to Do or Rianne is undoubtedly going strength to strength with each release and we cannot wait to see what she does next!
