SINGLE REVIEW | MADS SAYCE | LIVIN THOUGH

Mads Sayce, the talented Scottish artist, is dropping her new single called ‘Livin Though’ at the end of this month and I can’t wait to see people grooving to her new music!

The indie-pop artist came into the music scene at the young age of 16 and has had two of her singles featured on BBC Radio Scotland. Most of her music features beats that go along with dance and movement. The talented musician has written, produced, mix and mastered her upcoming single all on her own- which is quite an amazing feat. Her talents also include choreographing her own music videos.

Mads Sayce describes her new single ‘Livin Though’ as an upbeat approach to the “letting go of the past”- and I couldn’t agree more. The song features references from the artist’s previous singles and sets quite the vibe for one to dance to. If you’re looking for an indie-jazz number to dance to on your weekends, or simply remind yourself to take it easy and ‘go with the flow’ then I highly recommend adding the single to your playlist.

The song offers a funky usage of bass guitar tunes, lead guitar tunes, sound pads and keyboards. The tunes set the premise for the jazz overtone of the song, while making it groovy and peppy. The production of the single is quite commendable. Listening to the song reminded me of the killer hits of the 80s. Sayce’s single is definitely one that sets you grooving and vibing, clicking your fingers and bobbing your head along. I can’t imagine anyone not tapping their feet to the song!

Livin Though drops on the 21st of April at 12AM GMT. You can pre-save the song on Spotify. The single will be available on all streaming platforms so I recommend setting an alarm for the day of its release!
