Dundee five-piece Jutebox are ending 2023 on a jazzy note with the release of their second single ‘Only You’.
It’s been a good year for the Dundee based Jutebox. Performing shows across Scotland, the release of their debut single ‘Lover’ in September and now they’ve managed to squeeze in one more tune to close out 2023 with a bang. The band describe the latest single ‘Only You’ as a ‘hip-hop/ R&B jazzy track for everyone to enjoy.’ It’s a celebration of having someone important in your life and appreciating them, something we can all relate to, whether that be a partner, family member or friend. Or maybe it’s a dog or a football team, who are we to judge?
The band take inspiration from samples used by 90s hip-hop artists to bring to life something truly catchy. The drums, sax and keys combine to make a feel-good song that you just can’t help but move to. There really is an abundance of musical talent on show in this track. If the first two releases from these funky Dundonians are anything to go by, we can expect to have a lot more fun with Jutebox in 2024!
