Single Review | John Rush | Waiting For Your Love to Call

Glasgow’s own singer-songwriter John Rush has recently released a new single titled “Waiting For Your Love to Call”. The catchy title has an equally catchy beat to it. It grabbed my attention at the first second and even made me want to shimmy a little despite me not really doing a great job out of it. This song makes you feel like you are in a movie, strutting along New York streets trying to live your best life and is set to be a summer anthem for sure!

John’s vocals and singing techniques are similar to well-known singers like Tom Walker or Ryan Tedder of One Republic. Talking about musical influences I can somewhat feel the Beatles and Elvis Presley that stylistically inspired John since his childhood. Upbeat drum lines and brass section in this song, adds drama and intensifies the sense of summer, happiness and made me want to move a little. Lyrics are fun, relaxed and definitely could be used as a little singalong moment during John’s next show! So all in all, I highly advise you to give the single a spin and be ready to move your hips, shake your shoulder and throw your hands up! Have a great time listening to it and keep your eyes peeled for John’s next show.
