SINGLE REVIEW | FELIX AND THE SUNSETS | EL CUBANO

Despite five months since their latest release, Felix and The Sunsets break the stereotypes associated with 60’s style inspired music.

Edinburgh based three-piece Indie rock band Felix and The Sunsets’ latest release “El Cubano” takes a more chilled approach in comparison to their previous release “I Don’t Wanna Be Adored Anymore”  back in October last year. The track kicks off with a dark punk inspired bass line which resolves into a more typical rock rhythm. The riff heard throughout the track is particularly memorable, with this element being a prominent feature in almost all of their releases.  The track concludes with the repetition of the lyrics “I know we’re not the only ones”, making this track particularly easy for listeners to resonate with.

Forming in 2018, the group have gained support slots with the likes of Glasgow based quartet The Van T’s.  2020 is set to be their biggest yet, with this release pushing their sound, songwriting and creative capabilities to the maximum.  Check out their newest single “El Cubano” now on Spotify.
