SINGLE REVIEW | BABY SRANGE | I WANT TO BELIEVE (MADE FOR THIS)

Baby Strange unleash a killer collab with Tennent’s for Scottish Football.

Hailing from Glasgow, Baby Strange are a punk three-piece with a well-established reputation for being one of Scotland’s finest young live acts.

It’s easy to see why the trio have such a loyal fanbase and why in a pre-covid world they were selling out headline shows! But, with live music being paused over the pandemic the band channelled their untapped energy into their latest raucous release, the Land Of Nothing EP which came out last month.

The boys return this week in collaboration with Tennent’s lager as their single I Want To Believe, taken from their aforementioned EP, soundtracks a brand new film celebrating Scottish football. The menacing track has been reworked with some new lyrics to celebrate the summer of football, and it’s a perfect fit with its deep cutting lyrics, thrashing guitars and a soaring chorus; infused with endless untapped raw energy, the track is sure to get stuck in your head all day long.

Johnny Madden (vocals / guitar) commented: “We’re so excited to have been asked to be a part of Tennent’s Lager ‘Made For This’ campaign. We have all been lifelong followers of Scottish football, so to be able to play a part in supporting our country and our national team through the summer is huge for us. ‘I Want To Believe’ has taken on a whole new meaning and a brand new energy – it’s all about passion, belief and pure desire to see Scotland winning. After a 23-year wait, the song reflects the same grit and determination the team has shown in reaching this point. Scotland’s made for this.”
