SINGLE REVIEW | AROUND 7 | YOUR DEMISE

Pop-punk is back and just in time for Summer! With catchy hooks and addictive melodies, Around 7 have once again charmed fans and new-comers alike with their latest release Your Demise

Dreamy, Scottish vocals and lively drum fills makes for a delightful listening experience as well as one that’s sure to have you up on your feet in no time. Paired alongside the growling of the bass and group vocals, it blurs the line between modern day and the early 2000s pop-punk revolution.

The line “I love the way you spun me, like a Ferris wheel on fire” is one of my favourite lyrics in the whole song and helps to sum up the overarching message of the song and the destructive fun of loving someone who’s not right for you.

The song is then expertly broken up in the middle by the loud and unapologetic guitar solo which is effortlessly compelling, setting the rest of the song up to be one of the best that you’ve heard in a while!

Fun, addictive and the essence of pop-punk, if you had to have one song to soundtrack your Summer, please let it be this one!
