SINGLE REVIEW | ARCADE STATE | WHEN IT HITS HOME

A brilliant release from the exciting new Scottish band.

Arcade State are an emerging alt-rock five-piece from Glasgow, and despite only having started out in 2019 they’ve had a rapid rise to success. With a debut EP, a sell-out show and plenty of radio play under their belts, they’re only just getting started.

The emotionally charged ‘When It Hits Home’ follows 2021 singles ‘Follow’ and ‘Begin To Break’ and possibly marks their biggest track to date. It’s a fast-paced indie anthem featuring driving guitar, a hook-laden chorus and emotive lyrics about an ending relationship. This sad bop really holds nothing back and is made for the dancefloor!

If you’re a fan of floor-filling, anthemic indie then be sure to check out Arcade State, they are proving to be the ones to watch in 2021; they have a busy year ahead of them and they’re set to make their return to live performance this Saturday at Glasgow’s Nice N Sleazys. Don’t forget to listen to When It Hits Home here.
