Gig Preview | Hinds @ Stereo, Glasgow | 03.02.24

Spanish rock bands, Hinds, will return to Glasgow to play a show at Stereo on the 3rd February. Having already performed in Broadcast, SWG3 and St Luke’s, it is very exciting that Hinds are returning to a Glaswegian stage.

However, this time Hinds are returning as a duo, as members Ade and Amber decided to leave the band last year, leaving Carlotta and Ana to get the rock party going. Despite the smaller numbers, I still know this will be an incredible gig. The gig is part of Independent Venue Week, a very important time to celebrate the best venues around us, especially during such uncertain times.

Hinds have released three albums, with their latest titled The Prettiest Curse (2020). Their garage rock sound, combined with their infectious, feminine energy creates an enthralling show.

Supporting Hinds are two of Glasgow’s newest and finest of bands, Big Girl’s Blouse and Lloyd’s House. Big Girl’s Blouse are a punk rock band who formed in 2020. They have played at venues such as Nice n Sleazy and released an EP in 2023 called Man Up. Lloyd’s House began in lockdown as a solo act, then when things became normal (well, normalish), the project grew to a five piece. They released their first full body of works as a five piece last year entitled The Masochist. I’m sure the crowd will give a great cheer of support to some great local talent.

As of right now the gig is sold out, but keep an eye out on Ticketmaster, you may get lucky and find a resale!
