GIG PREVIEW | BIRD CAGE THEATRE | THE VOODOO ROOMS | 15.06.24

There is no denying that TikTok has become the latest app for (mostly gen alpha) to find new music, aimlessly scrolling to find cool things while the algorithm tries to learn what content you want, pretty cool right? Somewhat, although I’m sure the pressure is on musicians/artists to keep creating content and staying relevant.

As an avid music fan, I succumbed to the app and in a lot of ways glad I did otherwise I wouldn’t have come across Bird Cage Theatre, a melodic indie-rock band hailing from North Lanarkshire.

Having released three singles last year, they were back in early April releasing Fire Went Down alongside an announcement of a live show at Edinburgh’s stunning Voodo rooms on Friday 15th of June.

The band have already had air play across various Scottish radio stations and had a feature as Artist of the week with the Scotsman so are quickly growing in momentum.

Support for the night comes from Paisley’s favourite contemporary/folk singer-songwriter Michael Cassidy. Michael has supported some incredible acts over the years such as Ben Howard, Amy Macdonald and Scotland’s very own Frightened Rabbit.

This show is not to be missed as we enjoy these artists in a stunning, more intimate setting of The Voodoo rooms in Edinburgh.
