Festival Preview | Rewind Festival @ Scone Palace, Perth

The “World’s Biggest 80s Festival” returns to Perth’s Scone Palace in July 2023.

The nostalgic throwback festival takes place between 21st and 23rd July 2023 in the grounds of the gorgeous Scone Palace in Perth. Currently home to the Earl of Mansfield, the palace’s grounds will bring together some of the biggest acts from the 80s. This includes two former members of Spandau Ballet, one of the widest selling bands of that decade with popular tracks including “True”, “Gold“, and “Through the Barricades“.

Saturday

The first former Spandau Ballet member to take to the Rewind stage on the Saturday will be Martin Kemp. Kemp’s performance will be a DJ set which is bound to be filled with the biggest of 80s hits. Also taking to the stage on Saturday is Soul II Soul. They are famous for their primarily upbeat and high-energy tracks including “Back To Life“, “Every Little Thing I Do“, and “Keep On Movin’“. Headlining this already incredible lineup is Andy Bell from Erasure. Erasure are famous for their fast-paced, dance filled anthems like “A Little Respect”, “Oh L’Amour”, and “Love to Hate You“.

Sunday

Sunday’s lineup is as action packed as Saturday’s. A second former Spandau Ballet member, Tony Hadley, will take to the stage as well as the incredible Scottish artist Midge Ure. Midge Ure has been part of many successful bands/groups as well as forming an equally successful solo career. Most famously, Ure was the former frontman of Ultravox who made famous track “Vienna” which won awards for its music video. Midge Ure was also part of other well-known groups like Thin Lizzy and Visage. As an amazing Scottish talent playing on Scottish grounds, he is not an act you’d want to miss. Headlining the Sunday night is Squeeze, a band whose catchy melodies and sometimes non-sensical lyrics brought them fame.
