What’s your role at DM?
Writer.

How long have you been part of DM for?
Joined late April.

Outwith DM, what do you do?
Currently study at City Of Glasgow College.

Why did you want to join DM?
Great way to get your stuff out there and can also lead to other opportunities.

Who’s your favourite Scottish artists?
Between Glasvegas and The Snuts at the moment, however I have so many it would be hard to choose.

Best gig you have been to?
Seen Stone Roses last ever gig at Hampden which was pretty amazing. Keeping it within Scotland, seeing Gerry Cinnamon play the Barrowlands on Christmas Eve was special.

Best venue in Scotland you have been to?
Barrowlands or King Tuts.

Favourite festival you have attended?
Sadly, I missed the T in the Park era so have had to grow up with newer festivals. TRNSMT 2018 was pretty mental – Liam Gallagher, Arctic Monkeys, Gerry Cinnamon and even The Snuts on the King Tuts stage was class to see.

If you could create your own festival, who would be your 3 headliners?
Paolo Nutini, Oasis & The Streets

What’s your favourite genre of music and why?
Indie/punk – I love the indie scene as you see so many bands rise through it and the music just seems to appear to me. In the same bracket of thought, Glasgow right now has many bands in the kind of punk genre and the gigs are electric so I also love that kind of music.

How would you describe the Scottish music scene in 3 words?
Underrated, Electrifying, Honest.

What’s the best and worst thing about the Scottish Music scene?
Best – The amount of talent shining through.
Worst – The unfair amount of obstacles artists face to make a living out of music in Scotland.

Favourite drink at the pub?
Tennents, of course!
