STRATUS continue to explore their 70’s rock roots with new single ‘Open Road’ relased on 13th March 2026. This single follows a rock star living it large until the glamor fades and we see behind the curtain, its not as perfect as it all seems. The Glasgow based rockers focus on an AC/DC inspired, guitar driven intro, giving their listeners a clear and confident introduction to their world. The character front man Stevie takes on embodies the classic rockstar, lyrically focusing on the extra curricular joys of being a rockstar. The characterful vocal and consistent musical backing make the middle 8 section all the more interesting, changing the tone of the song and giving the listener more insight into the story the band are trying to tell. This track is reminiscent of “Shook You All Night Long’ by AC/DC or ‘Heavens On Fire’ By Kiss, for the lover of true 70’s Rock n Roll.
