Falkirk based indie band ‘bijewn’ have recently released their second single ‘small things’.
The track begins quietly featuring only drums and a shaker, then afew bars in vocals, bass guitar, midi keyboard and electric guitar come into the mix. The blend of instruments creates a relaxed, chill vibe.
The lyrics at the chorus tie into the song name ‘small things’ and have a nice flow to them, with some rhyming too. The lyrics are sang beautifully with clear, airy vocals which enrich the song.
The melody is very captivating and catchy, with many layers of instrumentation in this song. This is engaging as a listener. The bright, clean electric guitars sound blends amazingly with the warm bass lines which are subtle yet effective in creating the songs warm atmosphere. The punchy, vintage sounding drums helps the song stay upbeat, bringing it to life.

‘small things’ is a wonderful song to listen to, a great easy listen. The instrumentation reminds me of ‘The Walters’, so if you are a fan of them you might have found the new band for you. Listen to this beautifully made track here.
