SINGLE REVIEW | TOM WALKER | HEAD UNDER WATER

After weeks of teasing, Scottish singer and songwriter Tom Walker releases new single ‘Head Under Water’ from his forthcoming second album ‘I AM’. The song is perfect for your summer playlist, but despite the summertime beat the lyrics have a lot of depth behind them. The song is about the struggles of the world.

Walker explains;

“This is about keeping my inner demons at bay and the constant battle i’m having with myself – sometimes feeling suffocated and overwhelmed by the weight of the world.”

The single is such a powerful and emotive track, Tom’s soulful vocals really shine through, and the lyrics are very relatable with a catchy melody. It is definitely a track that tugs at the heart strings with lyrics like;

‘deep down, gettin’ lost again but it’s me and myself that i’m up against’

Tom is set to perform a UK Headline tour in April/May, as well as a European tour near the end of the year for his album that has still to have a release date announced. Walker has had much success from releasing a number 1 album to also receiving a BRIT award for Best Breakthrough Act, as well as a nomination for his song ‘Leave a Light On’ in the Best British Single category.

You can also pre-order the album now, which we are sure will be featured in many of our summer 2024 playlists!
