SINGLE REVIEW | THE ACCOLADES | THIS TIME

Indie newcomers release second single This Time

The Accolades, the latest newcomers to the Scottish indie scene, release their second single This Time.  Following the band’s successful debut release Inhale, The Accolades are proving the hype is real with their ready-made sunburst indie anthem.

The track features really vibrant jangly guitar runs, with the bass and drums opting for a pop-punk rhythm giving the track an electrifying energy that catches your attention straight from the second you press play. Frontman Stephen’s flawless vocals are the missing piece of the puzzle and complete the track perfectly. Stephen’s voice has a brilliant husky sound to it, which is outrageously good. Truly, a voice for the big stages. The track has come at the right time, as the weather gets brighter, This Time is the perfect addition to your summer playlists.

The Accolades have recently played gigs in Aberdeen, Edinburgh, but mainly Glasgow. The band supported fellow indie newcomers The Wits at Slay! on the 10th of June, putting on a great set.

Check out the track below and keep an eye out for more from The Accolades!
