“Predominantly described as a fusion of indie-pop”

Love Again‘ is the penultimate release of 2023 for Fife five-piece Mosaics. Leading on from the release of previous single ‘27 Summers‘ in January, and their 2022 single ‘Can’t See You Tonight‘, this latest tune adds to the group’s easy listening discography. With a catchy chorus and a distinctive sound, Mosaics are sure to give you an airy, uplifting pop fix.

After forming in 2019, the group have been making an incredible name for themselves both with their catchy and memorable sound and their infectious live performances. I heard this song live in the iconic Sneaky Pete’s venue when the band supported fellow Scots, Wukasa and since then, I have been looking forward to finally hearing a studio version.

The dance infused melody is something you can’t help but move along with. In a live setting, this was demonstrated with the crowd dancing and reacting very positively to this newest track. This infectious indie-pop foundation is created by Liam Napier on drums, Roy Jarvis on lead guitar, rhythm guitarist Jack Bryce, and bassist Duncan Lawrie. While their sound is predominantly described as a fusion of indie-pop, ‘Love Again‘ definitely leans more towards the pop category. However, guitar and bass solos later on from Jarvis and Lawrie do provide an edge that other pop anthems don’t have.

Even though it is more of a pop tune, there isn’t anything negative about this. I think everyone definitely needs a song that you can just put on and enjoy effortlessly. ‘Love Again‘ is absolutely a song that allows this. With a catchy chorus sung by Alex Wilson with lyrics like “it don’t take much to feel the rush“, you’ll find yourself singing along in no time at all. The uplifting and light music will keep you engaged for the entire duration and is a song lots will press repeat on.

On Friday December 22nd, Mosaics take to the stage again in the latest addition to their extensive live experience. They return for another headline show in the Dunfermline venue, PJ Molloys. Previously, they headlined there in January in celebration of ‘27 Summers‘. This time, they’ll play a set including ‘Love Again‘ and final single of this year, ‘Part of You‘, which is released the same day.
