SINGLE REVIEW | LEAVING BORDEAUX | ADRENALINE

The breaks are off for Glasgow band, Leaving Bordeaux, as they head full throttle into the Scottish music scene. Still fairly new, the band’s second single, Adrenaline, came out today and is sure to boost your spirits up and get you dancing through the house. Having already earned themselves praise from the likes of radio presenter, Jim Gellatly, who said he expected very big things from the guys this year, the five of them have stepped up and given us new music which doesn’t disappoint.

Influenced by Two Door Cinema Club, Blossoms and The 1957, these Glasgow area locals have created a fierce, fast-paced anthem. Adrenaline begins with screeching guitar sounds before heading straight into an enticing riff and dynamic drums.  In the background we hear a faint “hey” and “ho” to join in with. Lead vocalist and guitarist, Jamie McAuley, comes in with husky vocals which tell a story of battling uncontrollable addictive tendencies, emotional dependency and desires. The song keeps you on your toes, with synthy undertones complementing the high energy coming from the rest of the players. The intro is so infectious, you’ll be up dancing from the get-go. The song is as titled; an energetic adrenaline fuelled track.

Adrenaline is the second single following their debut, Caught Out Cold. If you haven’t heard that, have a listen for more electric indie rock drive. With these high-quality tunes under their wing, we can’t wait to see what’s in store for Leaving Bordeaux.
