KING NUN have begun a huge UK headline tour for February 2020 including a stop at Glasgow’s Garage Attic Bar. The dates come in the wake of the band’s acclaimed debut album MASS, which was released through the iconic label Dirty Hit last October, and sees the Wandsworth quartet embrace darker sonic inspirations and cultish imagery for their first full length release.
Discovery Music had this to say on the fantastic debut album:
A bold and confident coming of age album, that’s not afraid to take risks as ‘King Nun’ mature their sound in a beautiful melding of what’s been and gone and where they’re going in the years to come. Harsher tracks from days gone by such as the brashly emotive ‘Transformer’ and meticulously written ‘Chinese Medicine’ find themselves appearing re-recorded with the upmost care. Meanwhile new delights such as ‘Bug’ and ‘Black Tree’ show a more brooding darker side to the band. One of the finest post-punk albums of 2019.
The run of dates will see the band play their biggest headline shows to date around the UK and includes a stop at Glasgow’s delightful Garage Attic Bar on 22nd February. The band previously turned in a spectacularly thrashing show there in the December of 2018 followed by an astounding performance at Tenement Trail in Glasgow’s East End following the release of their debut album this October.
