GIG REVIEW | THE SNUTS | @ THE BARROWLANDS

The Snuts put on a cracking two nights at Glasgow’s world famous Barrowland’s Ballroom, playing their new non-skip album in full to a second half of fan favourites.

The Snuts released their 3rd album ‘Millennials’ on the 23rd of February, which is an amazing 10 track album with a bit of everything on it. This is the band’s first album since leaving their old record label Parlophone the group are now independent and they have their own record label named ‘Happy Artists Records’ they seem to be the happiest they have ever been!

The Snuts were in a chart battle with the well known Rod Stewart and Jools Holland, the band placed second in the official charts and used this as part of their shows.

To start the nights of the support acts were super from Theo Bleak, Kerr Mercer and The Volts. The Snuts entered the stage with track 6 off the new album ‘Novastar’ and it was a perfect opener to get the crowd going, even with the album only being out for less than a week the fans were singing every lyric.

After playing all the incredible tunes off the album finishing with the last track ‘circles’ which is a heart warming song that brings the crowd together they had a little surprise for the crowd this was no regular encore it was a crowd shocking ‘Rodcore’. A very talented Rod Stewart tribute walked on stage to perform a song, the crowd absolutely loved this stunt.

The band then re-appeared to play fan favourites such as ‘Always’, ‘Knuckles’ and the new version of ‘What’s Going On’ and finished the night with fan’s city favourite ‘Glasgow’. Both shows at the Barrowlands were truly spectacular and special.
