Gig Preview | The Clause @ Mash House

On March 23rd, the Mash House venue in Edinburgh will host three brilliant bands.

The Clause

Headlining this amazing night is The Clause, a four-piece “indie disco” band. The Birmingham quartet is formed of Pearce Macca (frontman), Jonny Fyffe (bass), Niall Fennell (drums), and Liam Deakin (guitar).

Having previously supported The Reytons, it is great to see The Clause embark on more headline tours. Prior to this one, the Birmingham band completed two tours in 2022. They bring Fever and Embassy along with them as their support acts for this year’s Edinburgh date at the Mash House. On the back of recent release, ‘Hate the Player’ on March 1st this year, this is set to be a show solely filled with solid indie and rock anthems. Having only been released just over a week, the single has already racked up over 8,500 Spotify streams.

With a discography of catchy, upbeat tracks, The Clause won’t struggle to make the Edinburgh stage their own. I look forward to hearing 2019 fan-favourite ‘In My Element’ which has amassed over 1.5 million Spotify streams. They are also set to play the tunes from their four track EP ‘Forever Young’ released in the summer of 2022.

Support

The Clause bring along two bands to this Edinburgh show. They are Fever and Embassy. Fever are a quintet from Hull who have already had an impressive run as support for Blossoms. They have also completed their own headline tour which included a sold out hometown show in Hull. On March 10th, Fever added to their growing discography with newest single ‘Long Ago’. Playing this support slot will provide the ideal chance for fans to hear it live along with their already released material.

Embassy are the other band being brought along by The Clause. For Embassy, this will be a hometown show as they are an Edinburgh based band. They too released a single on March 10th. This is their debut single ‘You Want It, You Need It’. This show with The Clause will be the perfect chance to hear it live first.
