Spector are embarking on a UK tour ahead of the release of their latest album Here Come the Early Nights. The indie rock four-piece are debuting new tracks from the upcoming album, including recent singles The Notion, Another life and Driving Home for Halloween as well as performing some fan favourites. Spector kick off their 9-date tour at The Caves in Edinburgh on 28th of November.
Here Comes The Early nights was recorded across thirteen days in London with Dimitri Tikovoi (Ghost, The Horrors, Marianne Faithful, Placebo). it’s the first album by the band featuring their full current touring lineup of Fred Macpherson, Jed Cullen, Nicolas Py and Jennifer Sanin, bolstered by additional instrumentation on five tracks by Moth Boys collaborator Dev Hynes aka Blood Orange. The record was mixed by Catherine Marks (Boygenius, Wolf Alice, Alanis Morissette).
Spector arrived on the scene with 2012’s Enjoy It While It Lasts, with lead track Chevy Thunder becoming an instant anthem for the band. Sophomore album Moth Boys landed in 2015 with lead single All The Sad Young Men being endorsed by Zane Lowe as his Hottest Record – also endorsed by this humble man for what it’s worth. 2020’s Non-Fiction saw the band put out their most accomplished body of work to date, and the highly anticipated Now or Whenever in 2022 did not disappoint. It’s safe to say that Come the Early Nights is equally anticipated as the bands songwriting and production skills continue to flourish.
They will no doubt put on an exhilarating and riotous show for the Edinburgh crowd as they kick off their UK-wide tour. Here Come the Early Nights is released on 24th November and Spector will be performing a stripped back version of the album in Assai Records Edinburgh ahead of The Caves to celebrate the release on the 28th.
