GIG PREVIEW | RYAN MCMULLAN | Òran Mór | 03.12.23

“One of the most exciting artists to come out of Northern Ireland, voice of an angel” – Gary Lightbody

Northern Ireland’s talented singer songwriter Ryan Mcmullan has an upcoming show at Òran Mór in Glasgow and it is set to be a beautiful night of live music.

Since he graced the stage in 2015 he has been going from strength to strength, embarking on his own European, UK and North American tours. Having toured with some of the UK’s largest names in the industry; Ed Sheeran, Snow Patrol and Kodaline, McMullan’s career quickly intensified.

The Portaferry lad has a raw talent for songwriting and story telling. Sharing his most vulnerable side of heart ache and pain whilst giving us a stunning insight into his upbringing back home in Northern Ireland. In his songs Hello Darlin and Heroes you can tell he’s been influenced by the music around him.

Ryan is no stranger to Scotland having done a run of shows in Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow back in 2022 for his Redesign Tour and I’m sure Glasgow cannot wait to welcome him back to this sold out show.

Having very recently released a video on his socials of a cover of The Pogues festive hit “Fairytale Of New York”, I’m hopeful of a live version of this on the night, ’tis the season after all.
