Festival Preview | Victorious Festival @ Southsea, Portsmouth

Sunshine, the sea, and songs, what more could you want from a festival?

Victorious Festival will be held between August 25th and August 27th 2023. Over the three day event, you will have the chance to see a vast array of some of the UK’s best talents. With some massive names on the lineup, as well as some Scottish acts too, there will be something for everyone at this festival!

Friday

Mae Muller is the UK’s Eurovision entrant this year, and she will also be playing on the Friday. She is accompanied by other big indie/rock names like Jake Bugg (“Lightning Bolt“). They are joined by The Charlatans whose 90s brit-pop anthems will come to life including fan-favourite “The Only One I Know“.

Edinburgh based Calum Bowie and Scotland’s own indie-rockers The View are also on the lineup to play Friday. These two are acts you definitely don’t want to miss. Respectively, they have each sold out shows across Scotland, and even some English dates too!

Saturday

Kaiser Chiefs will be playing on the Saturday. They are set to play songs like “I Predict a Riot” and “Ruby” which saw them rise to fame 18 years ago. They are joined by Kate Nash whose song “Foundations” found her fame in 2007. Saturday is being headlined by Kasabian, who never fail to impress the biggest of crowds.

Also accompanying this huge list of talent are Glasgow indie-pop band Belle & Sebastian. Many of their songs across their 12 studio albums have amassed tens of millions of streams.

Sunday

Sunday is filled with an indie-rock fan’s dream lineup. Headlined by Mumford & Sons, this is already an incredible lineup. Other bands and artists including Johnny Marr (The Smiths), Sea Girls, and The Vaccines will be playing. The incredible Heather Small (M People) will also be there.

Two more Scottish acts join the Sunday lineup. They are Dead Pony and Connor Fyfe. Dead Pony are a four-piece who fuse together post-punk and indie to create some incredibly catchy and memorable tunes. Fyfe was TRNSMT festival’s youngest ever performer 2022 and though he’s young, he has also played several huge Scottish venues including the iconic King Tut’s.
