EP REVIEW | LUKE LA VOLPE | TERRIBLY BEAUTIFUL

Scottish singer-song writer, Luke La Volpe may have just saved the day yet again after dropping his brand new EP, Terribly Beautiful. Quality is also promised in a Luke La Volpe record and it’s no different here. Three tracks that will sort out your isolation listening.

Terribly Beautiful includes three tunes which are named Dead mans blues, Familiar bliss and finally Terribly beautiful. The EP is co-wrote by Kyle Falconer from The View which again adds to the already great sounding album.

Dean mans blues is the song that opens the EP. A tremendous acoustic and folky sound, it is no surprise that Luke La Volpe’s unique sound shines through again. Treat your ears with this short but lethal tune.

The second track on the Terribly Beautiful is Familiar Bliss. For anyone who’s seen Luke live, you may recognise this song. A slow and steady number, but one that you’ll love. Again the artists voice is outstanding and raises the song above and beyond. Another tune, another Belter!

The EP finishes on Terribly Beautiful. This may be the best song from the EP. Which is magnificent to see is the influence of Kyle Falconer shining through. A more upbeat number which makes sure the EP finishes on a high.

Terribly Beautiful is added to the growing list of unbelievable tunes to be released in recent weeks. Luke La Volpe has performed a lyrical masterclass in each track on the EP. Both Luke La Volpe and Kyle Falconer also announced that all profits for the next six months will be donated to Nordoff Robbins, Music Venue Trust and The West-Lothian Covid-19 Appeal. A great gesture from two of the countries best musicians.
