We are now into month two of the Discovery Music Scotland’s release feature Discovering Scottish Sounds. The purpose of this was to give up and coming scottish bands and artists a platform to showcase their music by adding it to our discovering scottish sounds spotify playlist and sharing across our socials.
The engagement from creatives has been insane and we here at Discovery Music Scotland want to say thank you for your input in getting this off the ground! Without you sending us your music we wouldn’t be able to do this.

Echo Chambers – Did You Still Feel Good in The Morning
A brand new band on the scene in Glasgow. Making high energery alternative rock music.
For fans of: Bring Me The Horizon, Thxsomuch and Deaftones.
Fog Bandits – Ready or Not
Glasgow three piece alt/rock band bring us their latest offering with ‘Ready or not’. This song means a lot to the band as prior to release questioned if the band was at its end. The song itself tells the tale of a severed friendship with the imagery of a western style gunfight.
For fans of: My Chemical Romance, Queens of the Stone Age, Muse.
Sean Findlay – Egg n Roll is All We Do
Solo artist from Dundee, blends genres to create his own sound drawing inspiration from many of the greats around him. Noticeably playing alternative pop rock with a twist. Sean has a very distinctive voice which is apparent as the voals hit.
For fans of: Elvis Presley, ACDC, Carl Perkins.
The Line – Lips
Indie sensation The Lines writes songs for those who are unapologetically themselves. They aim to creatively mix indie, rock and fun and this mix is what makes The Line’s stand out.
For fans of: Jamiroquai, The Wombats, Style Council
Tbird & Rico Franchi – Marianna (All for the thrill)
Tommy Phillips (aka Tbird) a musician and producer from Glasgow. Phillips recreated ‘The Imagineers’ Marianna with friend Rico Franchi aiming to generate a new spin on the classic.
For fans of: Maroon 5, M83 and Kygo
Gambit – Cosmic Queen
Gambit are fairly new on the scene. 4 piece hailing from the capital, Edinburgh. They blend hard rock, classic rock and blues.
For fans of: Led Zeppelin, Guns N’ Roses, Greta Van Fleet.
Keno – Running Through My Mind.
Unlike his previous release Running Through My Mind comes from a more pop place. Keno writes and produces all his own stuff. A keen songwriter, usually writing for other people rather than for himself.
Black Dove – The Back Room
Black Dove have made a come back this year and The back room is their second single of the year. The song itself is about being in your 20s and not being able to party like you did in your late teens. Formed in 2016 this band from Invercylde are back at it with their catchy choruses and upbeat anthems.
Caseveti – Solace
A four piece from Glasgow who since 2022 have been carving their place in the music scene. Blending hardcore with indie, adding in some pop sing-a-long hooks Solace is their latest single which aims to push the boundaries of what has come before it.

The Joy Hotel – Old Man’s Eyes
Glasgow Septet dropped their single Old Man’s eyes ahead of their album release. They draw upon influences in the 60s with some psychadelic rock. 6 part harmonies make this band really stand out.

Scratchcard Wednesday – Luv
Indie pop duo Ty and Dexter known as Scratchcard Wednesday became a TikTok sensation doing covers however, felt it was time to dip into writing their own tunes.

Copper Lungs – Falling
Pop rockers Copper Lungs from the sunny city of Dundee come back with their second release of the year. This song explores lead singer Darren’s feelings of broken hope throughout the pandemic.

Face The Silence – Another day in paradise
Scotland’s latest rock band hit hard with their first ever single. Merging classic rock like Guns n Roses with noughties rock vibes these guys mean business.

Callum Stewart – Stay
Motherwell’s latest singer/songwriter brings us his latest youthful summer track.
For fans of: Sam Fender, Dermont Kennedy, Lewis Capaldi
Hollow Silence – In these empty halls
Bringing their heaviest song yet, this track is a modern groove metal riff fest that pays tribute to the speed and technicality pioneered in 80s thrash and death metal.

Little Win – Castles in the summer
Mixing retro indie pop singer-songwriter Little win brings new single castles in summer. An upbeat track to bring us a sense of hope.

Thundermoon – Perfect Chaos
Edinburgh based synth -pop trio release perfect chaos. The band want to create synth-pop tunes with sing-a-long choruses. The song is to explore the trauam of growing old.

Aldo – The sick boy method
Drawing inspiration from the movie ‘Trainspotting’ Aldo writes a song about heartbreak and the need for ‘no human contact, no outdoors, just music, sleeping, drinking and suffering.‘

Tidelines – cherry blossom sunset
A bright and optimistic summer song from Glasgow four piece tidelines. Tidelines are well known for their creative blend of rock with a traditional scottish twist.

Bird cage theatre – Takes a While to Learn
A fairly new band on the scene with only a handful of gigs under their belt but bringing out their latest single Takes a while to learn. They write such relatable material that will likely hit home.

Hammer – Accelerator
Having recently won the Scottish Metal To The Masses Hammer are back with their fresh new track Accelerator. Warning this track contains “razor sharp riffs, roaring bass, thundering drums and raw brutal vocals“

The Kaves – Unknown Number
If you want an indie summer track then the Kaves have provided just that. This is only their second release and the band have already had mainstream radio play.

The Cowboy Mouth – The Swimmer
Having originally formed in 1994 they have recently got back together with a slight line up change and are set to release more new music.

Tonto – Charlene
4 piece indie band from Alloa. “Full throttle rocknroll packed with electrifying riffs, infectious melodies and plenty of swagger.”

Respite – Calligraphy
Blending post- hardcore, punk and pop the band want to write energetic music that matters and can resonate with listeners.

Kirsty Grant – Jupiter
A pop song to help you push past that self doubt. A reminder that their are no limits.
For fans of: Ariana Grande, Madison Beer, Sabrina Carpenter.
Racecar – Got you into it
Edinburgh based alt-pop trio Racecar release their fourth single from their fortcoming album. “We jammed a lot of things we love into just two minutes and 48 seconds – a few sneaky key changes, a big chorus and a whomper of a rare guitar solo“
