Liverpool born and bred, with a second home right here in Glasgow.
Dynamic, distinguished and definitely Scouse, Keyside returned to Glasgow with a stormer of a show at King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut. In amongst a mini tour of the UK, which sees the lads take on sold-out stages in Leeds, Glasgow, Liverpool, Manchester and London, on the back of the release of new EP ‘Michael (What’s Your Call)’
Taking on an iconic stage in Glasgow, such as King Tut’s, is no mean feat, and to pack the place with your first headline show in Scotland can only be applauded.
The boys take the stage at 9.30 pm to the cheer of a Glasgow crowd as they play their night’s opening track, ‘Nikita’. As one of the band’s most popular tracks, it was certainly a statement of the energy the boys wanted to put across in their set. They then smashed through their first few songs with high energy and you could really see that the band were having the time of their lives, especially frontman Dan Parker, who could wipe a smirk off his face or stop himself jumping in the air.
We would hear versions of another two tracks that are yet to be released, called ‘Heaven’ and ‘Lemon & Lime’. The crowd were hooked, with some diehards even singing the lyrics of the unreleased tracks that the band had shared snippets of to their TikTok following.

The spectacle of the evening came following a short break off stage, when the boys incredibly played their track ‘Runaway’ before a seamless and very impressive transition into their very own version of Manchester legends, The Stone Roses – Sally Cinnamon, before another incredible transition into fan favourite ‘Angeline’. You could seriously feel the crowd’s energy with every shift; everyone was impressed with the boys ingenuity and chemistry. You would think they had been together for decades.
Following the show, the lads headed over to the merchandise desk to chat with their Scottish following, taking pictures and signing autographs on posters. They made sure to chat away with everyone they could, expressing their love for the city and desire to come back.
These lads are destined for the top. One of the greatest shows from an up-and-coming artist I have ever seen take on the King Tut’s stage.
