Caity Baser came straight on stage at 8.30pm, instantly hooking the crowd with her bubbly, down to earth personality and energetic stage presence.

Caity gave the audience her thoughts and feelings behind her new unreleased album she created, explaining this album reflects on her new era of healing. One of the debut songs she sang that stood out to me was ‘Beautiful Girl’. Caity says this is the last song on her album and that this song is about finding your way back to your younger self. This song had such beautiful, heartfelt lyrics such as “Even the flowers they take time to grow”. Caity shone in a different light with this album, you could see the pure emotion put into these songs and the passion she sang them with. Her vocals were outstanding, stretching from sweet melodies with smooth riffs to powerful belting.

As well as new music, Caity sang her og sassy, upbeat songs such as X & Y. The crowd sang these songs louder than ever, everyone was ecstatic. The difference in Caity’s music reflected on her new era in life and how she has grown as a woman. The stripped back, intimate piano show allowed the crowd to feel and get in touch with Caity’s new, heartfelt album.

King Tuts, an iconic music venue in Glasgow is a small and personal venue, that’s the beauty of it! The sound was great and the atmosphere in the crowd was amazing. Caity was able to showcase her talent in a raw and honest way.
