ALBUM REVIEW|GALLERY OF THE STOLEN DOGS|I NEED TO LET IT RIDE NOW

Gallery Of Stolen Dogs recently released their first ever album ‘I Need to Let It Ride Now’.  This albumn contains 12 songs with a rock vibe.

The first song on the album is called ‘Road Kill’. Immediately this song strongly kicks off the album with strong Scottish vocals, grungy toned guitars and a tight drum beat. This song is really captivating, especially with the use of a particularly catchy guitar riff that can be heard throughout this track. Not forgetting the amazing drum fills building up towards the middle of the track. There are also backing vocal harmonies at the chorus which adds to the song hugely.

Another few tracks that stuck out to me on this albumn were ‘The Paint’ and ‘I Want You to Know Entitlement’. These stood out to me as compared to the other songs on this album which mainly focused on rock drums, guitar and vocals, these songs incorporate more varied instruments and had a more folk-rock type of sound to it. These new instruments such as the harmonica were used creatively to the artists advantage to create a different, exciting sound. In the song ‘I Want to Know Your Entitlement’ the end specifically was impressive as the crashing drums and ringing out, static sounding guitars gave a live feeling which brought a great close to the album.

The album was mixed really well, seamlessly incorporating lots of different elements to create the alt-rock feel.

Gallery Of Stolen Dogs have clearly worked hard to create this quality debut album. Go stream ‘I Need to Let It Ride Now’ here!.
