The Kaves get ready to release their next single Complacency – their first release in 2024 following on from a successful run of singles in 2023. The single Complacency marks the lead single from the band’s debut upcoming EP.
Compancency hosts a raw energy and power delivered by the vocal that sits on top of a well balanced rock track. You’re taken on a journey with loads of highs and lows through the track, with the guitar always there to set the tone, playing either dark riffs or lifting it up with anthemic style melodies but never overcomplicating it leaving loads of space for the message of the song to shine through.
The song always has a constant crescendo to ramp the energy up to the next chorus with the vocal bursting in;
“Blame it on the words we used to say, Blame it on the better days, the better days”
With the amount of vigor that’s in The Kaves recorded music I would love to hear this in a live performance. Complacency is out on the 12th of April 2024.
