SINGLE REVIEW | SAINT SAPPHO | IN YOUR HANDS

The latest release from Glasgow’s Saint Sappho is a captivating track you are sure to get lost in. The alternative duo, consisting of multi-instrumentalist Zoe and drummer Tammy, have once again provided a grungy, moody piece with In Your Hands, released last Thursday.

The track features a repetitive, gritty riff, backed up by some steady drums. Complementing this, the vocals are moody and the lyrics enticing. The way these elements of the track come together and hit your ear is almost soothing and extremely satisfying. In Your Hands is rhythmic and intoxicating, and a great track which I’m sure will attract an interest from listeners new and old.

The new track leaves behind an echo even when it has finished playing. The duo seem to have a knack for recording music which leaves an impression from the first listen. The single In Your Hands follows the release of their EP Green Door earlier this year, and adds to a discography which is shaping up to impress.
