SINGLE REVIEW | NO MORE HEROES | AND THE BANDAGES

Although they have stated that influences include Catfish and the Bottlemen, it is the melancholic nature of the new And The Bandages single ‘No More Heroes’ which brings a maturity not often associated with Catfish, and more closely aligned with bands like Glasvegas. Complete with outstanding production, tight harmonies and ripping guitar towards the end, this track is a lesson in how to write a radio-friendly indie pop song which is completely accessible. Lyrically the song doesn’t say much, but when the melodies which are sung are this strong the lyrics seem to take a back seat anyway.

Typically I am not a huge fan of ‘new indie’ music and in all honesty, this is a track which I never would have found if I wasn’t sent it to review. With this being said, this song is excellently written, performed and produced. I will definitely be keeping an eye out for the next And The Bandages release, and you should too!
