SINGLE REVIEW | HITLIST | DANCING IN THE RAIN

North East Indie band, Hitlist return with a sensational third track to add to their discography. The band look to follow on the success of their previous releases, ‘Soul Survivor’ and ‘Don’t Let Me Go’.

The track features the sound we can begin to expect from Hitlist, the slick guitar, the heavy driven drums and the poetic lyrics. The track’s opening has the listener hooked instantly and with the addition of the slow first chorus and a great build up, the track culminates into a fine indie rock explosion. The lead guitar line was a standout and elevates the track up that notch, it mixes nicely with open hi-hats to guarantee you start dancing along. The track encapsulates everything that makes up a great indie rock track and is, in my opinion, the band’s best offering to date. Lead singer Callum’s vocals continue to impress, with his voicing suiting the track perfectly. Having heard it live, I am assured it can get a crowd going too. An impressive release from the Aberdonians.

Hitlist have recently enjoyed working alongside Aberdeen FC, as well as supporting indie veterans Skylights and The Sherlocks. The band are taking every new challenge in their stride and continue to impress locals. And with successful trips down the central belt the band have proved they can do it across the country. Next up they take on The Podium on the 8th December alongside fellow north east indie bands The Sun Day, Audiokicks, and Stonechild. Check out the track below!
