Single Review | Distant Images | One Again

Glasgow duo Distant Images continue their rise in the up-and-coming music scene of Glasgow with their latest release One Again.

Vocalist Jilly and multi-instrumentalist Macca are taking 2023 by storm with their much anticipated follow up to alt-rock banger ‘Sight Unseen‘. The new track ‘One Again’ brings back the more atmospheric vibe of Distant Images’ earlier releases.

One Again is simply stunning, it will make the hairs on the back on your neck stand on end. Beginning with quiet guitar licks and a subtle drumbeat, the song slowly builds and builds before exploding into life for the last 90 seconds with thunderous drums and distorted guitars. After just one listen you’ll be singing the line ‘in time we’ll be one again’ for hours afterwards. Jilly’s voice is outstanding throughout but really flexes her vocal skills towards the end of the track.

A new release is not all fans have to celebrate as the duo have a big support slot lined up with Reverend and the Makers in Glasgow on the 10th July. If you don’t have your tickets for that one already then, I’m afraid you’re out of luck as this show is officially sold out!

Hopefully there will be more chances to catch Distant Images live this year, be sure to follow the band’s social pages via the links below to keep right up to date.
