SINGLE REVIEW | CASEVETI | SOLACE

After releasing their debut single ‘All I Ever Wanted’ in February earlier this year, Glasgow made indie rockers Caseveti are back with the latest single ‘Solace’. A punchy, angsty, and head-banging tune that will most definitely get the crowd going at their upcoming gig at King Tuts on August 3rd.

Caseveti – also known as Euan, Rory, Lewis and Callum formed in 2022 and have already made themselves ones to watch in the Glasgow music scene. With their sharp, energising rhythms, moody melodies and catchy, hard-hitting lyrics it’s no question as to why this band have so quickly made a name for themselves.

Invoking the energy of bands such as Catfish and The Bottlemen, Courteeners and other home-grown Scottish talent such as Fatherson, Caseveti continue to explore their own style and identity in ‘Solace’. The lyrics play at the heartstrings as it tells the story of self-reflection and realisation as we listen to one side of a broken-down relationship. With lyrics such as You can blame it all on me and The one you hate, the one that you despise, you know that’s me – it’s clear that this is a song for the heart broken amongst us, a song that makes you want to belt it out at the top of your lungs while making you think about your own actions. The tension that has been an underlying force throughout the entire song finally comes to an end in the bridge as the guitar and drums build up to a crescendo as an outburst of self-loathing as does the acceptance of the end of this narrators relationship.

With only two officially released singles, we are all eagerly awaiting to see what Caseveti get up to next in their future releases, but if you’re like me and can’t wait until then, you can stream ‘Solace‘ and ‘All I Ever Wanted‘ on all streaming platforms and make sure you catch them at their gig in King Tut’s in Glasgow on August 3rd!
