The Provans have released their first single “Without You” on the 8th of August 2025.
The Provans are a rising indie rock band from Glasgow and consists of four members Tony Callaghan, Scott Knight, Max McGeough and Marc Doherty. The band formed only a few months ago and have put out their first single “Without You”.
This track starts calm with an MGMT vibe while soft vocals are performed which emerges into a more rock sound with an aggressive guitar and bass sound, which is also followed by a hooky guitar solo before it continues to the verses. On the climax of the track a drum solo is performed following with the chorus and a final guitar solo concluding the track with a perfect, high energy finish.
Lyrically this song is about not being able to live without someone due to being attached, showed by the lyrics “I close my eyes and dream about you” and “I couldn’t live without you” showing a lot of passion by the way it is sung and makes the track more powerful.
The Provans have an upcoming Gig on Thursday 4th of September 2025 at The Classic Grand in Glasgow and is apart of the Midweek Nectar lineup.
They are definitely a great addition to the Scottish music scene. They have released a great and impressive first single-Definitely a band to keep an eye on!
