SINGLE REVIEW | DISTANT IMAGES | THAT FEELING

Sonic Glasgow duo astound with their latest delight ‘That Feeling’. The third single from their upcoming EP, it’s built upon jangly guitar riffs and pounding drums, helping  to enhance the song, giving it life and demonstrating just how far Distant Images have come since their founding in 2020.

Emotionally charged lyrics envelope listeners in a gentle embrace which gradually grow more sure of itself as the song goes on, going from the uncertainty of “is it alright to let go?” to the certain “that it’s alright to let go”, reassuring listeners that change is growth and that you shouldn’t try to keep holding on to what is hurting you.

The hauntingly beautiful instruments and Jilly and Macca’s vocals that work wonders with each other and highlight each other’s vocal strengths, blissfully sweeps you into the heart of the song making for, in my opinion, one of Distant Images strongest songs ever.

Beautiful and atmospheric, ‘That Feeling’ is a showstopper of a single and an absolute delight to listen to, enticing listeners to discover more of what the duo have to offer.
